Water Allocation

Kaupapa Taiao is working in conjunction with Te Taumutu Rūnanga and Ngai Tuahuriri Rūnanga and Taihoro Nukurangi/the National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Science (NIWA) on another FRST funded research programme in relation to water allocation.

This project is based at the Waikirikiri/Selwyn River, which is a significant river for local Ngai Tahu, and will look at the cultural issues around assessing water flows and allocation.
