Nohoanga - Te Kowhai
The site is situated in a paddock adjacent to the Clutha (Mata Au) River. The well-drained site is large and suitable for camping although cattle and sheep may be grazing on the nohoanga. Some of the site is covered in gorse and there is a lot of silt following the large flood at the end of 1999. For safety reasons, people using the site should keep clear of the willows located on the upstream end of the site and maintain a regular watch on the river levels.
