Charter Amendments 2011
Tēnā koutou katoa,
At the 25/26 November 2011 Te Rūnanga meeting, a Charter Changes paper will be presented to Te Rūnanga proposing amendments to the Charter. The amendments proposed are largely changes that Te Rūnanga has already discussed and approved in principle over the last two years.The Charter Changes paper will be issued to all Papatipu Rūnanga when the meeting papers for the November 2011 meeting are sent out, however because of the importance of the Charter and any amendments to the Charter, the Office has decided to issue the Charter Changes paper to Papatipu Rūnanga ahead of the required deadline to allow Rūnanga extra time to consider and discuss the proposed Charter Changes.
Attached to this paper is:
- The Charter Changes paper, this paper summarises the key changes proposed to the Charter;
- The proposed Charter showing the changes "marked up";

Charter Amendments 2009
The Office, as part of the development of the Annual Plan and budget, discussed with Te Rūnanga a number of initiatives to reduce the cost of producing and distributing the Annual Report. This revised approach and the associated savings has been incorporated in the revised report and generate savings of approximately $40,000 per annum. At its September meeting Te Rūnanga made changes to the Charter to enable the implementation of these revised arrangements.
