Management - The Office
Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu has three key roles:
- Support Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu especially in terms of policy and strategy development;
- Support and assist the members – Papatipu Rūnanga;
- Provide benefits for both the present and future members of Ngāi Tahu Whānui.
The organisational structure has been designed to deliver increased value to our two key stakeholders: Ngāi Tahu whānui and Papatipu Rūnanga.
To achieve this, a management structure with three key components is in place.
Toitū te Whenua incorporates settlement, protection legal and risk services and Kaupapa Taiao.
Toitū te Kura is responsible for whānau, social and cultural development, Papatipu Rūnanga support, community funding and direct benefits.
Toitū te Mana has responsibility for group planning and monitoring, economics, innovation and project development as well as governance and membership including whakapapa.
