Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu also fosters the development and support of Papatipu Rūnanga in areas such as new technology (computers, e-mail and the Internet), administrative and structural assistance, acquiring business and financial skills, legal responsibilities and regulatory matters such as the Resource Management Act.
Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu is actively assisting Papatipu Rūnanga to establish effective communications with beneficiaries who associate with them, and increase their opportunities to participate in tribal affairs.
