Ngāi Tahu Seafood is a leader in the New Zealand seafood industry with extensive involvement in the harvesting, processing and marketing of finfish, lobster, abalone and shellfish. The Company is a subsidiary of the substantial iwi investment organisation Ngāi Tahu Holdings Corporation Limited, with its own board and head office in Christchurch.
The Chief Executive will be accountable to the board for the commercial performance, leadership and growth of Ngāi Tahu Seafood. The ability to develop and maintain meaningful relationships with stakeholders and business partners, to identify and secure new business growth opportunities, and the capacity to traverse the processing, value add and marketing aspects of Ngāi Tahu Seafood’s business will be critical to the success of the role.
Key attributes sought in applicants for this appointment include:
- Excellent relationship and partnership management skills
- Experience within the seafood industry or primary sector
- Demonstrated skills in strategy development and implementation
- Success as a senior executive in international market development
